Membership
| 1. |
|
Any person upon payment of the Annual Membership fee of $5.00 to the Society shall be enrolled as a member of the Society for the current year (2010) and is entitled to exhibit at the Ripley-Huron Fall Fair.
|
| 2. |
Junior exhibitors entering an adult entry class are required to pay the $5.00 membership fee, but no fee is required for the Junior or School.
|

| |
Exhibitors/Exhibits
| 3. |
Exhibitors agree to abide by the rules of the Ripley Agricultural Society and have read and agree to the “HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT” which states: The exhibitor by signing the entry form and prize account agree that they shall indemnify and hold harmless the Ripley Agricultural Society, their members, agents and employees from and against all claims, demands, losses, costs, damages, actions, suits or proceedings by any third parties that may arise out of, or may attribute to, all operations performed by or carried out by the Society, its agents employees or anyone for whose acts it may be held liable, howsoever caused.

The Society has the right to publish the names of exhibitors when reporting on the winners of the Fair. The Society will not publish or provide addresses or phone numbers to anyone outside our organization.

| 5. |
Special rules pertaining to each particular class are printed at the beginning of each Class. These will be strictly enforced.
|
| 6. |
Every article exhibited must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor.
|
| 7. |
Each exhibitor may enter as many articles/exhibits as they wish, but only one article in each section, except where specified in Livestock classes
|
|
| |
Entry Forms
| 8. |
Each exhibitor must supply the secretary with a list of their entries giving the correct class and section number.
|
| 9. |
Exhibitors must list their entries on the printed form enclosed with the prize list – only one entry per line.
|
| 10. |
Exhibitors must complete entry forms and tags prior to placing of exhibits.
|
| 11. |
Both copies of the entry forms must be submitted to the Secretary prior to judging.
|
| 12. |
Extra entry forms and tags are available from the Secretary or at specified locations throughout the area.
|
|
| |
Exhibit Placement & Removal Times
| 13. |
Hall Exhibits must be placed in the Ripley-Huron Community Centre between the hours of 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23rd, 2010 and 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 24th, 2010.

| 14. |
Removal of exhibits from the Community Centre is between 4:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Exhibitors removing articles before this time will have their prize money withheld by the Society.

Judging
| 15. |
Judging of exhibits begins at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, September 24th. Only authorized directors, associates and committee volunteers will be allowed in the Community Centre during judging.
|
| 16. |
Judges are instructed to award prizes to worthy exhibits. Judges shall have discretionary powers to withhold any prize where they deem an article unworthy. Judges may disqualify soiled and/or old exhibits.
|
| 17. |
Anyone who interferes with the judge while carrying out his/her duties shall forfeit the right to a prize, or could be asked to leave the property.
|
| 18. |
An exhibitor lodging a protest regarding an exhibit must make it in writing to the Secretary within 24 hours of the fair.
|
| 19. |
Any member of the committee has the right to ask an exhibitor showing livestock that is not in control to withdraw that animal from the class.
|
|
| |
Prize Money and Awards
| 20. |
If for any reason the receipts of the fair are not sufficient to pay the prize money in full, the treasurer is authorized to pay a percentage equal to the receipts with the exception of the school work which will be paid in full.
|
| 21. |
Exhibitors winning prize money will have $5.00 deducted for their 2011 membership, Junior, School and 4–H are exempt.
|
| 22. |
School and Junior prize money will be paid in cash at the Ripley Huron Community School.
|
| 23. |
4–H Invitational prize money will be paid the day of the fair.
|
| 24. |
Prize money will be paid by cheque when all clerical work is completed on or before November 30, 2011.
|
| 25. |
Prize vouchers will accompany cheques by mail.
|
| 26. |
The Society reserves the right to replace prize vouchers,should they become invalid, with an equal valued voucher.
|
| 27. |
Exhibitors are responsible for redeeming prize vouchers from the business or individuals who issued said vouchers.
|
| 28. |
In the case there is an error in the printing of the Prize List, the Directors of the Ripley Agricultural Society have the power to correct any errors as deemed necessary.
|
| 29. |
Cheques must be cashed before December 31st of the current year.
|
| 30. |
Exhibitors choosing not to cash their prize cheque and who wish to make their winnings a donation back to the fair, may do so by returning the endorsed prize money cheque to the treasurer so that the record books may be balanced.
|
|
| |
General
| 31. |
Should any question arise not provided for in the rules and regulations, the decision of the Board of Directors shall be final.
|
| 32. |
The Society will not be liable for any accident on the fairgrounds.
|
| 33. |
Though all directors will take a reasonable precaution to ensure the safety of all exhibits, the owners themselves must take the risk of exhibiting at the Fair. Should any article be damaged, lost or stolen, the Directors will give all the assistance in their power toward the recovery, but will not make payment for the value thereof.

| 34. |
The Officers of the Ripley – Huron Fall Fair reserve the right to grounds and may restrict or prohibit admittance to the grounds or within 295 meters thereof, to any person or group of persons without giving any reason for this action.
|

Policy
 |
Commercial space must be reserved by contacting the Committee Chairman, Charles Liddle - 519-396-5844, before Thursday, September 16th, 2010
|

No pocket or hunting knives, etc.
|
 |
Hydro may be available
|
 |
Commercial Concessions are required to pay a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per allotment, by September 16th deadline.
|
 |
Payment either in cash or with cheque payable to the Ripley Agricultural Society.
|
 |
All concession allotments are at the discretion of the Ripley Agricultural Society Concession Committee, on a first come, first serve basis.
|
 |
Concession allotments will be approximately 10' x 10' with one table and two chairs
|
 |
Admission: one complimentary admission will be provided upon payment
|
 |
Upon arrival Concession Committee will advise you of your designated location
|
 |
Set up for Commercial exhibits in the Community Centre and outside will be from 4:30 p.m. – 6:0 p.m. on Friday, September 24th.
|
 |
Outside exhibitors must set up between 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25th.
|
 |
A number of free spaces are available for local “Not for Profit” organizations and no fee will be charged – no free admission will be available
|
 |
“Not for Profit” vendors will be asked to provide their own card table
|
 |
Removal of all Commercial exhibits is between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Saturday
|
